Complete Medical and Surgical Care for Dogs, Cats and Exotic Pets
Wellness Examinations and Immunizations - The gradual onset of health problems in an apparently healthy pet often go unnoticed. Once symptoms appear, the condition may be too difficult or costly to diagnose and treat. Age is not a disease; however, there are many conditions, that if diagnosed early, can be completely reversed or controlled for extended periods of time.
At least once and perhaps twice a year, your pet needs a complete physical examination. Remember, your pet's lifespan is shorter than ours. A lot can happen in 12 months.

Due to the many recent discoveries and innovations in veterinary medicine, your pet can be protected from most major diseases. Today, many immunizations and preventive treatments are available that did not exist just a few years ago. The staff at Cascade Animal Medical Center can help you decide what preventive measures are necessary for your pet(s).

Complete Medical Services - Our state-of-the-art hospital and our highly trained staff allow us to perform most medical procedures and provide the necessary care for all your pets.
Surgical Procedures - Our new hospital is equipped to perform most surgical procedures from spays and neuters to complicated orthopedic (bone and joint) and endoscopic procedures. We take pride in our equipment and our modern anesthesia and patient monitoring systems.
Dental Care - At Cascade Animal Medical Center, we feel it is very important that our clients realize the impact dental care can have on their pets overall health. An infection in your pet's mouth is just like one in his or her kidney, heart, liver or lung. His body becomes stressed as it tries to chronically fight that infection. The infection can easily spread from the gums throughout the body via the bloodstream. Dental infections are responsible for about 80% of heart valve disease which result in heart murmurs.
Regular ultrasonic teeth cleaning provides your pet with good oral health. As an adjunct to teeth cleaning, we recommend a dental home care plan that is specifically designed to your pet's needs.

Ultrasound - This is a non-invasive modern technique that produces a visual imprint of the interior of the body. Unlike conventional x-rays, recent evidence shows that ultrasound is completely free from side effects. In addition, ultrasound allows the doctor to achieve a depth of detail that is not possible with x-rays. Ultrasound is particularly useful in diagnosing abdominal diseases as well as diseases of the heart.
Radiology - We have a state-of-the-art x-ray machine that produces excellent quality radiographs. Radiographs are extremely helpful for diagnosing medical and surgical problems.

Endoscopy - Endoscopy is the ability to look inside the body, using a variety of very small cameras attached to either a flexible or rigid tube. The procedure allows the doctor to actually see within a body cavity or within a given organ. Directly viewing the interior of an organ is often very helpful in determining the cause of a problem and / or helpful in establishing a diagnosis.
The endoscope can also be used more aggressively to take biopsy samples or to perform minimally invasive surgery. This has the advantage of being less traumatic (than standard surgery) to the patient and allows for a faster recovery.
Cascade Animal Medical Center offers many endoscopic procedures.

A behavior modification program may be suggested in order to meet the needs of the client and their pet. Each client and concern is treated on an individual basis.
Pet Identification Microchip System - A microchip is a tiny electronic device, about the size and shape of a grain of rice. It is implanted beneath a pet's skin between the shoulder blades, and stays there for the pet's entire life. This procedure is as easy and as painless as a vaccination.
Each microchip has a unique number. This number, along with information about the owner and pet, are added to a national pet registry. Most veterinarians and animal shelters have electronic scanners for detecting and reading these implanted microchips. If a lost pet is found, and the microchip is scanned, the registry is called and the owner is contacted.
We use "Home Again" microchip system which is recognized nationwide.
