Dr. Mark Wenner

Dr. Mark Wenner is the owner of Cascade Animal Medical Center. A Rochester native, Dr. Wenner graduated from John Marshal High School in 1979. After completing high school, Dr. Wenner attended Iowa State University and then the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1986.

Dr. Wenner has numerous veterinary interests. Some of his interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, medicine, oncology, cardiology, dentistry, reproduction, ultrasound and exotic pet medicine.

Dr. Wenner enjoys participating in community activities. He is chairman of the Advisory Board at the local college for the Veterinary Technician Program. He runs an Explorer Scout Post for high school students at Cascade Animal Medical Center and contributes his services to the two local humane societies. In 1997 he received the Minnesota Small Business of the year award for hiring persons with disabilities.

Even with his busy practice, Dr. Wenner still finds time for hobbies. He has run 10 marathons and is now an avid road bicyclist. He rides the MS 150 each year from Duluth to the Twin Cities in support of his sister and those who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Wenner also enjoys canoeing, fishing, camping, woodworking, boating, skiing and flying.

Married to Linda, the Wenners are parents to 2 children and a menagerie of pets that include 7 dogs named Gus, Starlette, Peso, Brandi, Daisy, Clyde and Sam. They also have 14 goldfish and Linda’s horse named Johnny.
